Bilateral Lower Extremity Venous Ultrasound
Ultrasound includes imaging of the deep and superficial venous system to rule out deep venous thrombosis, superficial thrombophlebitis.
This test also tests the vein valve function to ensure they are working correctly. During the ultrasound you will be educated on venous thromboembolism which can end in death and chronic venous disease.
-
Bilateral Lower Extremity Arterial Ultrasound
Ultrasound includes imaging of the lower extremity arterial system from the groin region until the ankle. This test assesses the arteries for plaque buildup and blockages.
Peripheral arterial disease (PAD) can cause pain, changes in skin color, difficulty walking and sores or ulcers. Total loss of circulation to the legs and feet can cause gangrene and the loss of a limb.
-
Bilateral Carotid Ultrasound
Ultrasound includes imaging of the extracerebral vascular system. Assessing the arteries that provide blood flow to the brain and face, plaque buildup and blockages.
Symptoms of cerebrovascular disease can be dizziness, syncope, asymmetrical blood pressure difference and stroke.
-
Echocardiography
Ultrasound includes imaging of the heart assessing for overall function, valvular function and heart size. This test measures the heart chambers, chamber volumes, and blood flow through all four heart valves.
Cardiac diseases can cause valve damage, arrhythmias and plaque buildup in the coronary arteries which can lead to a heart attacks. -
Full Package/ Cardiovascular Package
The full cardiovascular package is a comprehensive set of tests designed to evaluate your heart and blood vessels. Here’s a breakdown of what’s included:
Echocardiogram: This test uses sound waves to create detailed images of your heart. It helps doctors see how well your heart is pumping and check for any issues with the heart valves or chambers.
Carotid Ultrasound: This scan looks at the carotid arteries in your neck, which supply blood to your brain. It helps assess if these arteries are narrowed or blocked, which can be a risk factor for stroke.
Abdominal Aorta Ultrasound: This imaging test examines the aorta in your abdomen, the main artery that carries blood from your heart to the rest of your body. It helps check for any abnormalities or signs of aneurysm in this critical blood vessel.
Bilateral Noninvasive Physiologic Study: This set of tests measures blood flow and pressure in your legs to evaluate the function of the arteries and detect any signs of peripheral artery disease, which can affect circulation in your extremities.
Together, these tests provide a thorough assessment of your cardiovascular health, helping your doctor identify any potential problems early on.
-
Renal Doppler Ultrasound
A renal Doppler ultrasound is a specialized imaging test that looks at the blood flow in your renal arteries, which are the blood vessels that supply your kidneys. During the test, a small device called a transducer is placed on your skin over the area of your kidneys. This device uses sound waves to create images of the renal arteries and measure how well blood is flowing through them.
It's important to assess this blood flow because certain heart conditions can affect the blood flow in these arteries, potentially impacting how well your kidney’s function. The ultrasound helps doctors understand if there's any disruption in blood flow that might be related to heart problems or other issues affecting your kidneys.
-
Abdominal Aorta & Iliac Artery Ultrasound
Abdominal Aorta and Iliac Artery Ultrasound: This imaging test examines the aorta and the iliac arteries in your abdomen and pelvic area, the aorta is the main artery that carries blood from your heart to the rest of your body.
This test helps check for any abnormalities or signs of aneurysm and blockages which is critical blood vessel.
-
Central Venous Ultrasound
A central vein ultrasound is a test that examines the major veins in your abdomen and pelvic, focusing on the inferior vena cava and the iliac veins. Here’s what happens during the test:
Imaging the Inferior Vena Cava: This large vein runs from your lower body to your heart. The ultrasound looks at this vein to check for any blood clots or issues with blood flow.
Imaging the Iliac Veins: These veins are located in your pelvis and connect to the inferior vena cava. The test evaluates these veins to ensure that there are no blood clots and to ensure that they are not compressed.
The ultrasound uses sound waves to create images of these veins, allowing your doctor to see if there are any problems with how blood is flowing through them. This helps in diagnosing conditions related to blood clots, vein compression, or other circulatory issues.
-
Non Invasive Physiologic Studies
Bilateral Noninvasive Physiologic Study: This set of tests measures blood flow and pressure in your legs to evaluate the function of the arteries and detect any signs of peripheral artery disease, which can affect circulation in your extremities.
